A growing share of Americans are reading e-books on tablets and smartphones, but print books remain much more popular than books in digital formats. How do we keep this up?

Guerilla: 
 Miniature installations are placed right outside of these bookstores. The community is encouraged to write a sentence, phrase, or sketch that represents the uniqueness of each independent bookstore and place it in the box. 

Indoor: Every two weeks the store will place these hand-rendered notes in an area for all to see. The top 10 winners will be chosen for print ads around the city, as well as bookmark-sticker designs — taking a piece of the store with them wherever they go. 

Twitter: The ABA account will post a series of gifs that attract attention and highlight something unique about independent bookstores, but that are woven into the tone to get off your phone/computer and get into a bookstore

Instagram: The ABA would conduct a spotlight series, highlighting the quirks and character of its member stores by giving thriving stores a moment to shine on the ABA account.
